What a week!
On Monday, our GTM Strategy & Commercial Operations, Lee Parker, had the opportunity to represent FIDgate alongside 15 German startups at the Latam edition of German Accelerator Kickstart.
The energy in the room was incredible, energetic, dynamic, and genuinely inspiring. I met founders, investors, operators, and market experts from across Europe and Latin America, and I left with a lot to think about, particularly when it comes to where FIDgate can go next.
Learning from people who have done it before
What made the day especially valuable was hearing directly from people who have actually built businesses, invested, and operated across Latin American markets.
Alexander Backs, Co-CEO at DACMA GmbH, shared his experience expanding into Brazil and some of the practical considerations German companies need to think about when entering the market.
Leo Smerling spoke about his experience selling to some of Argentina's largest companies. His perspective on navigating relationships with major players in the region gave me a much better understanding of what it takes to build commercial relationships in these markets.
Viviana Hermosilla from CMPC Ventures offered an interesting perspective from the investment side, particularly around the growing connections between Latin America and Europe.
And Giulia Beraldo brought a different but equally valuable perspective from her experience launching consumer products across LatAm and navigating the differences between individual markets.
Each conversation highlighted something different, but together they reinforced an important point: LatAm isn't one single market.
