PV Magazine Features FIDgate as the German-Argentine Platform Redefining Solar PV Project Value in Europe

The European photovoltaic sector has warmly welcomed FIDgate's technological approach, a milestone recently highlighted in PV Magazine’s coverage. Founded in 2023 under the incubation of the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) and backed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs’ EXIST program, the company—founded by Argentine engineer Juan Manuel Roldán—was created to prevent the loss of economic value in solar developments caused by fragmented workflows. Its official presentation at Intersolar Europe marked a turning point by introducing an optimization model capable of aligning technical viability with the strict bankability criteria demanded by investors.

The key to this recognition lies in the architecture of its FIDcore engine. Unlike conventional tools, the platform replaces isolated calculations with a deterministic algorithm based on mixed-integer linear programming (MILP). This allows for the simultaneous processing of everything from solar field configuration and DC/AC ratios to debt structure (DSCR) and fund-required parameters. The result is a precise, comprehensive assessment of all viable configurations prior to taking the Final Investment Decision (FID), ensuring maximum economic returns for each solar asset.
